Jonathan Toppo has played various and assorted roles including: Tilney, Shakespeare in Love; Bardolph, The Merry Wives of Windsor; Green, Richard II; Thaliard, Fisherman, Boult, Pericles; Fortinbras, A Wrinkle in Time; Steve Hubbell, A Streetcar Named Desire; Pistol, Henry V; Monsieur de Bonnefoi in The Imaginary Invalid; Sir Walter Blunt in Henry IV, Part One; First General, Throne of Blood; Lenox, Macbeth; Peter Quince, A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Dad, Distracted; Philippe Petit, UP; Irvin, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom; Taylor, Gibraltar; Hofbauer, The Visit; Menas, Antony and Cleopatra; Francis Flute, A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Larry, Handler; Trinculo, The Tempest; Jason, Wit; Laertes, Hamlet; Aramis, The Three Musketeers; Zavel, Vilna’s Got a Golem; and Bernard, Death of a Salesman.
He is also Resident Fight Director for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Certified Associate Instructor, Dueling Arts International. Drama Desk Award 2017 Best Fight Choreography for Sweat at the Public Theater.
