ANPF is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping playwrights develop new works for the stage. For over a quarter century, ANPF’s annual Fall Festival has presented the work of exceptional playwrights in a weeklong festival of dramatic readings.

A small selection of scripts are chosen from over 400 submissions. Winning playwrights come to Ashland to workshop and refine their scripts in collaboration with world-class directors, actors, and the ANPF artistic direction team. At the end of the week, readings are performed in front of live audiences.

ANPF presents additional live readings during the year and is excited about its new initiative Play4Keeps. This premium podcast of dramatic readings provides an affordable, convenient way for more theatre lovers to experience compelling theatre wherever you are. It's an amazing way to share more new works by talented playwrights and to give theatre professional an opportunity to easily explore new works.

ANPF and Play4Keeps are committed to discovering and presenting authentic voices from throughout the diverse communities of playwrights who are creating new and important work for the theatre.
